With a few simple stitches, this hat works up in no time! If you can knit + purl, you can knit this hat. For learning to knit in the round, I suggest this video on YouTube from Studio Knit. She'll walk you through casting on + joining in the round, as well as a few handy tips + tricks.

This pattern is written as a "one size fits most" with a circumference of 21''-22';. The size (height) can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of 'body' rows to make a more snug or slouchy fit.
Materials: 16'' Circular Needles Size US 15, Lion's Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick (1 Skein), Stitch Markers, Optional: Pom Pom Maker
Abbreviations: CO = Cast On, K = Knit, P = Purl, K2tog = Knit Two Together
CO 40 Stitches in the round
-> Rows 1-6: K1, P1 x 6
-> Rows 1-20: Knit around x 20 rows
-> Row 1: *K3, K2tog, repeat from * around
-> Row 2: Knit around
-> Row 3: *K2, K2tog, repeat from * around
-> Row 4: Knit around
-> Row 5: *K1, K2tog, repeat from * around
-> Cut 6-inch tail
-> Use yarn needle to thread stitches as you slip them off the needles
-> Pull tight, thread yarn to inside of hat and tie to secure
-> Weave in ends, make and attach a large pom pom if desired
-> Enjoy your new classic beanie!
